ACTIFY APPOINTS SOFTWARE INDUSTRY VETERAN, STEVE CIESINSKI,
TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Current CEO of Laszlo Systems and Managing Director of SJC Partners, Ciesinski
Brings Vast Business and Technology Expertise to Actify

San Francisco, Calif– June 30, 2004 – Actify Inc., the worldwide leader in client-server design visualization and collaboration solutions for the high technology, automotive, industrial automation and discrete manufacturing industries, today announced that Steve Ciesinski has been appointed to the Actify Board of Directors. Ciesinski brings over 20 years of experience in CEO, Chairman, Managing Director and VP positions at both public and private companies including Laszlo Systems, Resumix, Octel Communications, Applied Materials and Procter & Gamble. Ciesinski joins Tim Tomlinson, from Tomlinson Zisko LLP and Dr. Jeffrey Pfeffer, Thomas D. Dee II Professor of Organizational Behavior, Stanford Graduate School of Business.

In addition to his operations experience, Ciesinski has been an active private company investor and advisor in Silicon Valley for over 15 years, and has served on a number of public and private boards. Currently, Ciesinski is founder and managing director of SJC Partners, a private investment and consulting firm and is Chairman and acting CEO of Laszlo Systems, a leader in rich Internet application software. Prior to SJC Partners, Ciesinski was partner at Earlybird Ventures, a Germany-based venture capital fund. He also served as chairman, president and CEO of Resumix Inc., a leading supplier of technology-based applications for e-recruiting and human skills management. Ciesinski held senior management positions at Octel Communications (now a part of Lucent Technologies,) Applied Materials, Procter & Gamble and Booz, Allen & Hamilton. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Union College, Schenectady, NY.
