for its SpinFire Professional and Server Product Family

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif— March 11, 2003—Actify Software, the leader in desktop and client-server CAD viewing solutions for the discrete manufacturing industry today announced its support for the Catia V5 CAD System for its award winning SpinFire product line.  The Actify SpinFire V5 Catia V5 importer is available immediately through Actify authorized partners.

The comprehensive feature set of SpinFire 5.0 now also includes:

• Improved Mark-up: the new version allows the creation of multi-line and multi-font markup labels. The new labels are encoded in UNICODE and are capable of displaying any font supported by Microsoft Windows; all languages and character-sets are supported. This is invaluable for mid-sized companies who do business with, or have facilities in multiple countries.
• On-Demand Importer Upgrade:  Actify SpinFire Professional users are automatically notified if SpinFire detects a native CAD file is not supported.  SpinFire Version 5.0 allows downloading and installation of all the required components for a native CAD model without leaving the program. 
• Graphic Kernel:  The graphic kernel of SpinFire Professional has been optimized with improved performances and better support through faster loading of .3D files, benchmarked at up to 400% faster for many CAD formats.  Kernel enhancements also increase the speed of rendering and importing very large CAD files even with a limited amount of RAM memory.
