Actify Adds Support for CATIA 2D Drawings to its SpinFireŻ Solution


SAN FRANCISCO, Calif— October 24, 2002—Actify announced today that is has added support for CATIA 2D to its SpinFire visualization, communication and collaboration solution.
   
Responding to customer requirements to read legacy 2D drawings, Actify's updated CATIA importer now reads both 2D and 3D entities from V4.x native CATIA CAD files. In addition, the updated importer delivers significantly improved 3D performance.
   
Key features of Actify's updated CATIA importer include:

  • Reads 2D drawings and 3D models
  • Reads 3D models up to 50% faster than the previous importer
  • Reads multiple 2D drawings from a single CATIA file
  • Supports commonly used GDT symbols
  • Supports all CATIA V4.x Model and Export files

The updated CATIA importer is a free upgrade for Actify customers who licensed the CATIA importer previously and have current maintenance coverage. New customers or existing customers without maintenance coverage can purchase the importer as an optional module.
